Liverpool eyeing move for Diego Capel

Liverpool could make a move for Diego Capel during the winter transfer window, as Sporting Lisbon are reportedly keen on selling their star player, according to sources in Portugal. 

Capel who had attracted interest from the likes of Marseille and Liverpool during the summer, has managed just three league starts for the club so far this season, mainly due to injury.

The 25-year-old is one of the Sporting Lisbon's highest paid players and they are believed to be keen to get him off their wage bill when the transfer window re-opens in January.


Sporting Lisbon are looking for a fee of at least £5.75m to sell off their star player.
