Real Madrid secure first-refusal option on Premier League target IIkay Gundogan
Real Madrid have secured a first-refusal option on Arsenal and Manchester United target IIkay Gundogan, as per reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper Marca claims that Los Blancos have reached an agreement with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, that will give them first priority, should the German club sell the player next summer.
The 23-year-old has been a key member for Dortmund since his switch from Nuremburg in 2011, and is presently regarded as one of the finest talents to come out of Germany.
This would come as a huge blow to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, who were keen on acquiring the player's services.
Should IIkay Gundogan move to Real Madrid at the end of the season, it will pave the way for on-loan midfielder Nuri Sahin to make a return to his former club permanently.
