Wenger: Eduardo will shine

Eduardo da Silva has been tipped to make an impression after January by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. The Croatian international has yet to take a regular starting berth in Arsenal's starting strike force.

Wenger told Arsenal TV Online: "He is getting sharper now, and we will see the real Eduardo after January."

Meanwhile, Wenger suggested that England should look to win the next major finals in case they fail to qualify for the Euro 2008 finals, citing the example of France.

The Frenchman said: "I feel England have quality and I hope they will go to the European Championships. It would, of course, be a massive blow if they did not make it.

"But it happened to France in 1994 - they did not go to the World Cup, and then won the World Cup in 1998.”
