Sunderland closing in on Valmir Berisha's signature
Sunderland have reportedly offered a professional contract to 17-year-old Swedish starlet Valmir Berisha.
The talented youngster impressed at the recently concluded Under-17 World Cup Finals, as he finished the tournament as the top scorer with seven goals in seven appearances for his national side.
The Daily Express claims that the Black Cats have offered terms to the Halmstad starlet, who is apparently allowed to hold talks with clubs in January, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the player's services.
