Yossi Benayoun signs new QPR deal
QPR have signed former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun until the end of the season.
Manager Harry Redknapp said he was delighted in signing the 33-year-old Israel captain who was a free agent following his release by the Blues in the summer.
With a flurry of fixtures coming up this Christmas period, the manager said that he was keen to add quality to the team who sit at the top of the English Championship alongside Burnley who have a better goal difference.
Benayoun whose career in England included stints at West Ham and Arsenal began his career in his homeland with Hapoel Be'er Sheva and, after four years with Maccabi Haifa, joined Spanish club Racing Santander in 2002, before moving to England three years later.
The former Liverpool man was excited at this venture said that the manager Redknapp had a huge influence in the signing and was keen to continue playing in England after 8 years.
