Long-serving goalkeeper Alisson is widely expected to finish his career at Anfield, and the club's head goalkeeping coach Claudio Taffarel, also a former Brazil international, has been closely monitoring the progress of Turatto. Last season the keeper spent the campaign on loan at Fluminese and impressed during that short spell.

Liverpool have recently appointed Arne Slot as new manager, and the Dutchman has been given a budget of around £100 million to spend on new faces. Former Feyenoord boss Slot is keen to bring in at least seven new signings.
