Derek Boateng eyes Fulham exit
Fulham midfielder Derek Boateng has admitted that he could make a temporary move from the club in January in a bid to seal a berth in Ghana's World Cup squad.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been limited to just two league starts for the Cottagers, since being signed for the West London club by former manager Martin Jol on a free transfer in May.
However, Boateng feels that his spot with the Black Stars could be in jeopardy, if he remains with Fulham until the end of the campaign.
"It is every players dream to play in the World Cup and I want to go to Brazil to help my national team, [but] I cannot go while I continue to warm the bench at Fulham," He said.
"I was signed by Martin [Jol] and he is no more with us, so I have started speaking to Fulham and hopefully they will understand me and allow me to go on loan."
Ghana booked their place into the World Cup finals in Brazil next year through a 7-3 aggregate thrashing of Eqypt last month.
