Seattle Sounders star Clint Dempsey undergoes Fulham medical

Seattle Sounders midfielder Clint Dempsey has undergone a medical at Fulham, ahead of a proposed January loan transfer to the Craven Cottage

Clint Dempsey was speculated to be interested in a temporary switch to Fulham during the MLS off-season, and this has been confirmed by the two parties as the transfer is in the pipeline.


The Cottagers new manager Rene Meulensteen confirmed the news, and he was happy to have the talented USA international at the West London club on a second stint.


Meulensteen also said that Dempsey would join his former club on a two-month loan deal, as the player aims to maintain his form for the upcoming World Cup finals in Brazil next year.


Dempsey amassed 50 goals for Fulham in the Premier League in his last stint from 2007 to 2012.
