Fulham considered favourites to sign Paolo Hurtado in January

Fulham lead race for Paolo Hurtado's signature

Fulham are apparently in pole position to acquire the services of Peruvian winger Paolo Hurtado from Primeira Liga outfit Pacos de Ferreira in the winter transfer window.

Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen is understood to be keen on bolstering his attacking options as he aims to help the club survive relegation from England's top tier for yet another season.

The talented 23-year-old, who is currently valued at £3.34m, has attracted interest from the Premier League duo of Sunderland and Fulham in recent weeks, and the Mirror claims that the Cottagers are favourites to sign the talented winger during the upcoming transfer window.

The reports also says that the Hurdado has a similar playing style to former Peruvian star Nobby Solano.
