Chelsea agree £12.5m deal to sign Benfica youngster

Chelsea have reportedly agreed £12.5m deal to sign Benfica youngster Lazar Markovic in January, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

However, the talented Serbian international will remain with the Primeira Liga giants on loan for the next two seasons, with the Blues having plenty of competition for first-team places at the club.


The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for the Portuguese outfit since his debut ,but has slowed down on his progress in recent weeks due to various injury setbacks.


Markovic is considered as a top talent in the Portuguese League and could emerge as a top player for the Blues in seasons to come.
