Liverpool agree deal to sign Basel's Mohamed Salah
Liverpool have apparently agreed a deal to sign Basel's Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah in the January transfer window.
The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers had earlier insisted that he had no plans of making any imminent signings during the New Year, but Sport-Express.ru claims that the Merseyside outfit have acquired the services of the talented youngster on a four-year contract.
It is understood that Rodgers was impressed by Salah's performances in the Champions League, where he helped Basel do the double over Chelsea this season.
In spite of interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Salah looks set to sign for the Reds when the transfer window opens up on New year's day.
Salah has notched up six goals in his 24 appearances for the Swiss outfit this campaign.
