Norwich City enter race to sign John Heitinga
Everton defender John Heitinga will have the option of a move to another Premier League rival as Norwich City have reportedly entered the race to sign the Dutch international. Heitinga turned down a move to West Ham last week.
The centre back has requested a transfer away from Goodison Park and his wish has been granted by manager Roberto Martinez, who told Heitinga that he would be free to move club as soon as the January transfer window opens.
There still remains some uncertainty about where Heitinga's next destination will be though, as reports from the Netherlands suggest that the international defender would prefer a return to Spain, where he has previously played already in the past with Atletico Madrid.
According to several reports, Valencia and Elche are amongst the teams who have an interest in the player.
