Davies ready for Chelsea
Derby boss Billy Davies is readying his squad for the visit of Chelsea to Pride Park. Derby were hammered 5-0 by West Ham United in the last home game, but Davies has insisted that Derby will be competitive in the game with the Premiership giants.
The results of Andy's latest scan are inconclusive and there will now have to be further investigations, so we have to wait.
"It's been a worry since the start of the season because we haven't had Andy firing on all cylinders but we are hoping to get to the bottom of this and get the lad playing and hopefully to the best of his ability.
"The good thing ahead of Chelsea is that Derby County shouldn't be in a position as we were last time to have to cover for the absence of three centre-backs and an unfit left back who we still had to put on the bench.
"Kenny Miller was also not fully fit for the West Ham game and that's the situation we were in, but fortunately we have players coming back now so we will be in a much better position fitness-wise to compete against a very good side in Chelsea.
"When we have a fully fit squad, as we saw at Aston Villa, we can compete with the best and hopefully we can do that again this weekend."
