Osvaldo linked with Serie A return

Southampton's Italian striker Dani Osvaldo could be set for a swift return to the Serie A, with the likes of Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Juventus keen on his signature.

According to the Daily Express, La Viola boss Vincenzo Montella has expressed his intention of signing the former Roma man, with the Milan and Turin giants also monitoring the player's transfer situation.

Osvaldo has failed to feature for the South Coast club, since picking up a three-match ban for a touchline scuffle against the Magpies in the past month.

The Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino is now willing to sell the club's record signing, having seen the player involve in unfruitful incidents in the training ground in the past few days.

Osvaldo has scored 3 goals in 13 matches for the Saints this season.
