Baggies pondering a move for Sunderland midfielder

Premier League club West Bromwich Albion are eyeing a move for Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner. The 27 year old joined the black cats from Birmingham City in 2011.
New Sunderland manager Gus Poyet is still shaping up his squad and Gardner has found himself well down the pecking order. Reports suggest that Gardner would like to play games rather than sit on the bench at Stadium of Light.
It remains to be seen whether the Black cats allow him to leave after reports emerged that the club have agreed a deal for Lee Cattermole with Stoke City.
Should a deal go through Gardner would have played all the midland clubs having previously played for Birmingham City and Aston Villa.
