Spurs lining up Louis Van Gaal
Spurs lining up Louis Van Gaal
Tottenham Hotspur are planning fresh discussions with Dutch National coach Louis Van Gaal to take charge at White Hart Lane.
The 62 year old was linked with the job when previous manager Andre Villas-Boas was sacked but refuse to share the responsibilities of two jobs.
The job was consequently given to Tim Sherwood, who it is understood, is willing to step aside and willing to work under Van Gaal should that option be made available.
It now appears that Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy held fresh talks with former Barca boss in December before follow up talks last month.
Van Gaal had admitted that he would like to work at a big club,
“Look at my CV. I have won a trophy every season during my club career,”
“I am a winner and craving a trophy. This is why I am sick of being a national coach. I only see the players eight times a year. I am not enjoying the job of national coach at all.
“After the World Cup I want to coach a big club again and win trophies. Otherwise I will retire.’’
