Tottenham make enquiry for Turkish full back Caner Erkin

Tottenham have reportedly made an enquiry for Fenerbahce's full back Caner Erkin. The 26-year-old had already been linked with a transfer to Liverpool back in December last year.

Erkin has been in excellent form this year for Fenerbahce, having already grabbed 11 assists in the league from his left back role. Fenerbahce are currently 7 points clear of their biggest rivals Galatasray in the chance for the Super Lig title.

Spurs are ready to bid a reported 6 million Euros to sign the left back, who is also comfortable playing in left midfield or in central defence.

Liverpool have already withdrawn from the race for Erkin as manager Brendan Rodgers has instead decided to put his faith in Dan Flanagan, who has had an excellent season so far.
