Man Utd star linked with Barcelona transfer

Manchester United star striker Robin Van Persie is considered a top transfer target for La Liga giants Barcelona in the summer.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the Netherlands international could be subject of a bid in the region of £16.5 m from the Catalan giants.

The talented Dutch striker has been associated with a summer switch to a number of top European clubs which include Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and AS Monaco in recent weeks, following reports that he is disillusioned with life at Old Trafford under manager David Moyes, mainly due to the Scot's tactical setup.

The 30-year-old has had an injury plagued season, and has notched up 14 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils so far.
