Arsenal prepare summer swoop for Bundesliga star

Arsenal are reportedly readying a summer bid for one of the best midfield talents from the Bundesliga.

According to The Daily Mail, the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has identified the German midfielder as the perfect option to add some physicality to the club's ranks, and a bid is likely to be made during the summer.

 

The North London outfit had failed with a bid worth £19m in last summer's transfer window, but are ready to make a renewed offer after chief scout Steve Rowley gave the green light having watched the 24-year-old in action over the past few months.

 

Arsenal are currently 4th in the Premier League, seven points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
