Leicester City back in top flight

Leicester City will be back in the Premier League after a ten-year wait following Queens Park Rangers' defeat at Bournemouth this afternoon, coupled with Middlesbrough's win over Derby County at the Riverside.

The Foxes went 21 games unbeaten on Friday as they ran winners by a 1-0 scoreline over Sheffield Wednesday, and knew that a defeat for both Derby County and Queens Park Rangers would let them match Manchester City's record of seven second tier titles as well as earn promotion to the top flight after a decade.

Following last year's play-off semi-final defeat to Watford, Nigel Pearson's men have been in top form since the turn of the year when they clinched the top spot from league rivals Queens Park Rangers.

The Foxes will face-off against Brighton & Hove Albion in their next encounter at the King Power stadium on Tuesday night.
