Chelsea join Arsenal in race for Everton starlet?

Chelsea are reportedly set to battle it out with league rivals Arsenal for the signature of Everton centre-back John Stones this summer, according to The Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old has put up a number of top notch performances for the Toffees this season under manager Roberto Martinez, and is rumoured to have attracted interest from the Gunners in recent weeks.

 

A report from the Daily Mail claims that the Blues will join the Gunners in the pursuit of the former Barnsley star, but it is highly unlikely that Martinez would allow the sale of the talented youngster.

 

Stones had notched up 22 appearances for the Toffees this season.
