Arsenal to bid for Lars Bender?

Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer offer for Bayer Leverkusen midfield star Lars Bender during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be a keen admirer of the German international's talent over the past few years, and The Metro claims that the club will make a bid in the region of £17m for his services come the end of the season.

 

The North London club have had a poor second half in the Premier League, and widespread reports reveal that the 24-year-old could be the perfect fit to replace Mikel Arteta, who has been linked with a return to Everton in recent weeks.

 

Arsenal are currently 4th in the Premier League.
