Manchester City join race to sign Barca star

Manchester City are reportedly set to join the race for the services of Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the summer, according to The Express.

The talented Spaniard has been constantly linked with a switch to Manchester United in recent months, after they failed to secure his services last summer.

 

According to The Express, United could face tough competition from arch rivals City, who are now keen on signing the former Arsenal man, as they aim to proceed further in the Champions League next campaign.

 

The 26-year-old  is understood to be considering his future at the Catalan giants, having being jeered from the club's faithful recently.

 

Fabregas signed for Barca from the Gunners in the summer of 2011.
