Fabricio Coloccini to stay at Newcastle United next season

Newcastle United skipped Fabricio Coloccini has brought an end to speculation over his future by insisting that he will stay put at the Tyneside outfit next season.

The talented Argentine was linked with a summer switch back to his homeland, following reports that the Magpies are preparing for a major squad reshuffle at the end of the season.

 

According to Shields Gazette, Coloccini was quick to reject the claims and declared his intention to begin a seventh season with the Magpies.

 

"For sure. I’m going to be here," He said.‘I had personal problems. Sometimes it’s tough. You have to decide between the problems and the work.

 

"Sometimes it’s too difficult. Now it’s finished, and next season I will be here. I’m looking forward to improving.We want the best for Newcastle United. This season we finished top 10, and maybe we will bring some players (in the summer)."

 

Coloccini has made over 200 appearances for the Magpies since his move from Deportivo in 2008.
