Claudio Ranieri fired by Monaco
Monaco have decided to part company with manager Claudio Ranieri and ended the Italian's two year spell at the Principality side. Monaco are hoping to bring in a new manager and start a brand new era.
Sporting Lisbon manager Leonardo Jardim has been widely tipped as a potential replacement for Ranieri.
“I confirm that Claudio Ranieri is leaving soon. We decided to break up. I would like to pay tribute to Claudio Ranieri, who did a good job,” the French club's vice president Vadim Vasilyev said. “It is never easy to take a club from Ligue 2 to the Champions League. But we believe that at this stage we need a new dynamic.”
