Demba Ba to stay at Chelsea next season

Senegalese international Demba Ba has revealed that he will remain with Chelsea for at least another season.

The 28-year-old has been constantly linked with a switch away from the West London club, following his lack of regular first-team football under manager Jose Mourinho this season.

 

However, the former Newcastle star has now insisted that he would remain at the Blues for another season as per the request of Mourinho.

 

"Jose Mourinho has asked me to stay at Chelsea next season," Ba said. "He assured me that my situation would change.

 

"I don't know whether my situation will improve, but what with the coach's offer anything can happen."

 

Ba joined Chelsea from Newcastle United in January 2013.
