Aston Villa to bid for Nicklas Bendtner?

Aston Villa are readying a bid for former Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner. The Danish striker is currently a free agent.

The Gunners released Bendtner at the end of last season once his contract expired and now the striker is looking for a new club.

Despite having been linked with a transfer to Danish side FC Copenhagen, Bendtner is known to favour a Premier League team.

Aston Villa are undergoing a major overhaul of their playing staff this summer and Bendtner could be set to link up with former Gunners team mate Philippe Senderos at Villa Park.
