Merseyside duo to battle it out for Stephane Mbia

Everton and Liverpool are reportedly set to have a bidding war to sign Cameroon international Stephane Mbia during the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old, who is currently with the national team for the World Cup finals in Brazil, faces uncertainty over his future with the R's following expiry of his contract.

Mbia had a successful campaign on loan for Sevilla last season, as the La Liga outfit won the Europa League.

According to The Mail, the former Marseille man has attracted interest from the Merseyside pair, and the clubs could make individual bids for the talented player this summer.
