Alvaro Negredo interested in Atletico Madrid move

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo is reportedly keen on making a swift return to the La Liga with Atletico Madrid this summer, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

The Spain international joined the Citizens from Sevilla last summer, and had an excellent first half with the Premier League champions. However, his form curtailed in the second half of the campaign, and this cost him a place in the La Roja squad for the World Cup finals in Brazil.

AS claims that Negredo now wants a return to his homecountry, with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid keen on securing his services.

Atletico are in search of a top-class striker, with Diego Costa set to join Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window.
