Man Utd in for Nigel de Jong?

Manchester United are reportedly pondering over a summer move for AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong, The Star reports.

The 29-year-old who is currently plying his trade with the Netherlands national side at the World Cup finals in Brazil, is understood to have a good relationship with manager Louis van Gaal, who is set to take over the reigns at the Red Devils after the major showpiece.

According to The Star, the Mancunian giants are keen on signing a defensive midfielder this summer, and are ready to make a bid in the region of £10m for the former Manchester City man.

De Jong has featured in all three games for the Dutch in the group stages at the World Cup.
