Kolo Toure moving to Turkey?
Burak Gürdal, CEO of Trabzonspor has been in England in talks with Liverpool over Kolo Toure.
Turkish club Trabzonspor are on the verge of signing Liverpool defender Kolo Toure.
Trabzonspor manager Vahid Halilhodzic wants to complete his summer signings before the Turkish Super Lig and Europa League campaigns kick-off.
Vahid recently joined Trabzonspor after Algeria's World Cup campaign ended after a 2nd round defeat to eventual winners Germany. The former Algeria coach was lauded worldwide for the inspiring show by the African side.
The Ivory Coast defender joined Liverpool on a free transfer last season and made 20 league appearances.
However, Toure played in just one of Liverpool's final 11 games of the season and is expected to fall further down the pecking order following the expected signing of Dejan Lovren from Southampton.
Toure has made 327 appearances in the Premier League, and has won the league title twice with Arsenal in 2004 and Manchester City in 2004.
The 33-year-old would be joining Ivory Coast international teammates Didier Zokora and Sol Bamba if Trabzonspor were to complete the transfer.
