Liverpool edge closer to Nicolas Gaitan transfer?

26-year-old Argentinian midfielder Nicolas Gaitan has been linked with a move away from Benfica and apparently Liverpool are in advanced talks for the talented international.

Having spent four years playing for Benfica, Gaitan, who has previously been linked with a host of clubs including Man Utd, could finally be on his way out of Portugal. The 5 foot 8 player is desperate for a move to the Premier League.

Benfica will apparently listen to offers greater than 20 million euros and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is set to make an initial bid for the player this week.
