West Ham make free transfer bid for Samuel Eto'o

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is hoping that Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto'o continues his stay in the Premier League and joins the Hammers. The Upton Park outfit have apparently offered Eto'o a two year deal in East London.
Eto'o, released by Chelsea at the end of last season, is still very much in demand and has received numerous offers from several teams.
Rumours from Spain suggest that Eto'o is weighing up an emotional return to his former club Real Mallorca, but the English press claims Sam Allardyce has already been in regular contact with Eto'o and the Hammers are confident a deal will be completed.
The Cameroon international scored 9 goals in 21 games for Chelsea during the last campaign.
