Atletico Madrid make enquiry for Antoine Griezmann

Real Sociedad forward Antoine Griezmann is wanted by Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid. The French international is a target for numerous top European teams, but Atleti are apparently in pole position to wrap up a deal for the highly rated youngster.

Griezmann has spent most of his professional career at Sociedad and is reportedly looking to move elsewhere. Premier League clubs Man City and Man Utd have also been linked with a transfer for him.

"He's a very good player. He is very quick and can give us a lot of options in attack," said Diego Simeone.

"We are considering a move for Griezmann as well as numerous other players."
