Xherdan Shaqiri on his way to Liverpool?

Bayern Munich star Xherdan Shaqiri has dropped a Twitter hint that he could be on his way to Anfield.

The Metro report that the Swiss international favourited a tweet that suggested Rodgers make a move for the Bayern Munich man.

Shaqiri has been cagey about his future since the World Cup and has been quoted as saying: "It is the time of year when much is written, but as we all know, there is very little truth behind it. As you all know I am currently on holiday so I am not in talks with other clubs nor have I spoken with any journalists."

Xherdan Shaqiri lit up the World Cup with his incredible performances for the Swiss side and has been linked to several clubs in transfer rumors. Xherdan Shaqiri currently plays in midfield for his international side, Switzerland, and the Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich.

It would be a big boost to the Merseyside side if they are able to wrap up a deal to acquire his services.
