Samuel Eto'o undergoes Liverpool medical

Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o has undergone a successful medical in Paris ahead of the proposed transfer to Liverpool, The Mirror reports.

The 33-year-old is currently a free agent having been released by Chelsea earlier in the summer.

The veteran striker is believed to have attracted interest from several clubs in Europe in recent weeks, but he was keen on extending his stay in the Premier League.

According to The Mirror, the Merseyside giants have had a medical for the African star in case their deal for Mario Balotelli falls through, although there remains a probability of signing both strikers.
