Bayern Munich sign Xabi Alonso

Spain international Xabi Alonso has completed his switch to Bayern Munich on a two-year deal, according to a report.

The talented midfielder, who recently retired from international duties, had been linked with a switch away from Los Blancos, following the arrival of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez at the Bernabeu earlier in the transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, the former Liverpool man has finalized his transfer to the Bavarian giants for a fee in the region of £5m.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that Alonso would bid farewell to his Madrid teammates this morning.
