Fiorentina eye shock move for Micah Richards

Fiorentina have tabled a loan bid for out of favour Man City defender Micah Richards, according to reports from Italy. The Serie A side are confident that a deal will be agreed on transfer deadline day.

The full back is currently third choice right sided defender at City, behind Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna in the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

Reports suggest that Fiorentina are edging closer to a deal today and that this will be announced in the press this afternoon.
