Mesut Ozil set for shock Arsenal exit?

Arsenal could be set to offload star midfielder Mesut Ozil to Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window, according to The Mirror.

The 25-year-old started off in prime fashion for the Gunners last season, but the pace of the game caught up with him and he failed to live up to his expectations.

A report from The Mirror claims that the North London outfit could allow the sale of the World Cup winner in January, should he fail to rediscover his form.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is believed to be keen on signing Ozil, but the Gunners are unlikely to settle for anything less than the £42m transfer fee they paid for the player's services from Real Madrid last summer.
