Bayern Munich line up move for Mesut Ozil
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are apparently ready to test Arsenal's resolve by making a January offer for star midfielder Mesut Ozil.
The German international joined the Gunners from Real Madrid last summer on a club record fee worth £42.5m. In spite of starting the season in grand fashion, the pace of the game caught up with him, and he failed to make any impression in the latter half of the campaign.
According to Evening Standard, Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is believed to be a huge fan of the 25-year-old, and will do anything within his reach to prise away his services from the Emirates during the winter transfer window.
Ozil showed glimpses of his old self during the 3-0 win at Aston Villa, as he scored a goal and bagged an assist.
