Liverpool lining move for Celtic defender

Liverpool are believed to be preparing a move for highly-rated Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, according to The Mirror.

The talented defender had been on the radar of several Premier League clubs over the summer, following the departure of several high-profile players at the Scottish champions.

A report from The Mirror claims that the Reds tracked the performance of Van Dijk during Celtic's Europa league clash against Dinamo Zagreb last week, and are most likely to make an offer for his services come the winter transfer window in January.
