Mesut Ozil keen on Arsenal exit?
Arsenal's record signing Mesut Ozil has apparently decided to leave the club during the January transfer window, The Mail reports.
The German international joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 for a club-record fee of £42.5m.
Having started his initial career with the North London club in prime fashion, the talented midfielder failed to replicate similar form in the second half of last season, as the pace of the game caught up with him.
According to The Mail, Ozil is considering his future at the Emirates having been forced to play out-of-position on numerous occasions by manager Arsene Wenger.
It is understood that Ozil prefers a free-role behind the lone striker, but Wenger is adamant to play him wide on the left wing.
The report adds that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are interested in the World Cup winner and are willing to offer a fee in the region of £30m in order to secure his services.
Ozil is expected to be out for at least three months with a knee injury.
