Mourinho dismisses Varane rumours

Jose Mourinho denies Chelsea 's interest in Varane insisting that the player will not leave Real Mad

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has dismissed all transfer rumours surrounding Raphael Varane, insisting that Real Madrid would not part with the defender.

The Portuguese manager brought the French international to the Santiago Bernabeu side, during his tenure with the Whites, from the Ligue 1 outfit Lens in 2011. He has long been an admirer of the player and reports suggested that the manager was keen on being reunited with the young centre-back at Chelsea.

However, Mourinho has refused to put in any weight to these speculations and insists that there is no scope of entering into any discussions for the 21-year-old.

“He is a player of Real Madrid and will remain with them for a long time. There are no margins to enter into negotiations”, the 51-year-old coach was quoted as saying by Tuttomercato.

Varane has made 79 appearances for the Blancos across all competitions so far and has even scored on four occasions. During his three years in the Spanish capital, the player has already won a La Liga title, the Spanish Cup, the Super Cup and the Champions League..

He also has 15 international caps for the Blues to his name and was a part of Didier Deschamps’ squad that went to Brazil for the World Cup this year.
