Arsenal to sign Talisca?

Arsenal are reportedly readying a January offer for Benfica striker Talisca, according to The Star.

The talented striker joined Benfica from Brazilian side Bahia over the summer, and has since then scored six goals in seven league games for the Primeira Liga giants.

According to The Mail, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had sent scouts to watch 21-year-old in action, and is ready to make an offer for his services in January should Lukas Podolski leave the club.

However, the North London outfit are likely to face stiff competition from rivals Chelsea, who are also monitoring the player's progress.
