Real Madrid interested in Cruzeiro starlet

Real Madrid are readying a January offer for Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva, according to a Spanish source.

The 21-year-old has been in top form for his club in recent years, and was linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea interested in his signature.

According to Spanish daily Marca, Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti had sent his scout to Brazil to have a look at the emerging talents.

The report adds that Ancelotti received a positive report for Silva, and the player has now emerged as a top transfer target for the club.
