Chelsea interested in Monaco winger

Chelsea are reportedly readying a January offer for Monaco's Argentinian winger Lucas Ocampos, according to The Star.

The 20-year-old joined the Principality club from River Plate in the summer of 2012, and played a fundamental part in the club's promotion to Ligue 1.

A report from The Star claims that the French giants are keen on slashing down their wage budget during the winter transfer window, and are willing to offload the talented winger on a cut-price deal.

In addition to this,  Blues boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be confident of signing up the player without any competition in January.

Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League standings.
