Chelsea join race for Liverpool target

Chelsea are reportedly set to to launch a £15m bid for CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia in January.

The 26-year-old recently scored a brace in CSKA's 2-1 win at the Etihad to put Manchester City on the brink of eviction from the Champions League.

According to The Star, Chelsea will look to rival Liverpool in the pursuit of the former Ivory Coast international.

Doumbia has notched up an impressive tally of 16 goals in 18 games for his club this season.
