Messi suggests he might be willing to leave Camp Nour in the near future

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has hinted that he might be looking for a Camp Nou exit in the near future.

The Argentine international joined the Catalan club as a 13 year old in 2000, he made his senior team debut in 2004 and has since then made 437 appearances for the La Liga outfit scoring on 36 occasions.

He has won six Spanish league titles, has three Champions League victories to his name, and has been awarded with the Ballon d’Or four times besides breaking numerous goal scoring records and winning other major titles.

Messi has always said that he would like to end his career with Barcelona, but the player has come under severe criticism following a trophy less last season, with injuries and the tax fraud case making things difficult both on and off the pitch.

And while the 27-year-old insists he is focussed on bringing home more trophies this season, he suggests that he might be open to a change in scenery after that.

“Right now I am living in the present”, the forward told Argentine sports daily Ole in an interview.

“I am thinking about having a great year and winning titles with Barcelona. And nothing more. Then we will see.

“Football takes many turns. While I have always said that I would stay here, sometimes not everything happens the way you want it to”, Messi added.
