Man City to bid for Papiss Cisse?

Manchester City are reportedly considering a January offer for Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse, according to The Star.

The Senegal international has rediscovered his form this campaign, and recently came off the bench to score a brace as the Magpies beat leaders Chelsea by a 2-1 scoreline.

The Star reports that the Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen on signing up a new striker in the New Year, and will consider testing Alan Pardew's resolve by making a bid of around £20m for Cisse.

City are currently second in the Premier League, three points behind Chelsea.
