New York Red Bulls chasing Gerrard
Liverpool club captain Steven Gerrard has been linked with a transfer to MLS side New York Red Bulls. The midfielder will be out of contract in July.
Gerrard has so far indicated that he is open to discussions regarding his long term future at Anfield but has yet to commit to a new deal. It is understood that he is also open to offers from abroad. MLS side New York Red Bulls are ready to make Gerrard their highest paid player in an effort to attract the 34-year-old to move to America. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers hopes that the former England international will sign on the dotted line for a further season at Anfield.
